Vistara raises London-Delhi frequency ahead of Easter aviation rebound

Indian airline Vistara is raising frequency between London and Delhi from next month.

A Saturday service will be added to the schedule from Heathrow from April 2.

This will give the airline, a joint venture between Indian’s Tata Group and Singapore Airlines, six flights a week on the route.

The expansion came as aviation analytics firm Cirium revealed that international departures from the UK over the Easter weekend will rise by 716% over Easter 2021.

This means levels are down just 17% compared to the equivalent pre-pandemic Easter weekend in 2019.

The most popular international route from the UK this Easter, is scheduled to be London Heathrow to New York JFK, with 71 flights over the four-day weekend.

This is followed by services from Heathrow to Dubai, Dublin and Amsterdam

Of the 30 UK airports with international flights this Easter, ten will see Dublin as their busiest international destination, according to the data.
